Mourning messages for Kobe University 44 victims
One year has passed since we suffered from sudden great earthquake January17, 1995.
From the new term, April of this year, Kobe University seemed to be able to manage as usually as before. Many freshmen enter the university, the midyear examination was done, a job market was almost finished, and also our campus festival gathered many people.
In Kobe university, many professors still make researches into the great earthquake from various points of view like geography, architecture, sociology, and so on. Students also volunteer their services. Kobe university is noticed from all parts of the country as a university of the stricken area, and performs its responsibility as a study institution.
But don't we forget something important? It is those who died on that day: our friends.
We hope to remember that they spent the same time in Kobe University with us.(personal data in Jan 17,1995)
